Client Systems Engineer

As part of the Client Systems team, you'll apply your technical savvy and problem-solving skills by working with our customers to integrate Epic's software into their existing environments. You'll collaborate directly with your customers' Windows server administrators and provide a high level of technical guidance, knowledge, and support to resolve complex issues. Troubleshooting at this level is unscripted, and requires the ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions.

You will establish strong, long-term relationships with your customers, and often communicate with them on a daily basis as you install, troubleshoot and upgrade our software. You'll work with the customer throughout the system design process, and collaborate with them and as well as other Technical Services teams within Epic to translate business needs into technical systems solutions. You will configure systems, analyze performance issues, and make recommendations as to the best practices that will ensure their long-term success. You'll have opportunities to improve and take existing process to the next level, and determine how new technology will work with Epic's software. Successful Client Systems team members are self-motivated, able to prioritize and triage multiple issues, and can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff.

While not required, technical knowledge in the following areas is preferred:
- Microsoft Windows servers
- Microsoft IIS / ASP.NET
- Windows server virtualization
- Citrix technologies such as XenApp, XenServer, XenDesktop and Netscaler
- VMware virtualization technologies such as vSphere, ESXi and VMware view
- Scripting using PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript, or other scripting languages
- Object-oriented programming, Windows debugging, or Sysinternals tools
- Networking hardware management, configuration, and protocols
- LAN/WAN
- TCP/IP including: DNS, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, Telnet
- Windows Active Directory
- Printers, scanners, signature pads, and other peripheral devices
- Microsoft, CISCO, Citrix or VM certifications are a plus
