For over 70 years, Tucson Medical Center has delivered caring, personalized, quality health care to patients and their families in an environment that is supportive and compassionate. Our locally governed hospital provides care for the health and well-being of Southern Arizona.

The TMC Foundation supports the charitable mission of Tucson Medical Center, and is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life in our community. We are looking for a summer intern interested in supporting our organization, and learning about philanthropy, non-profit management, administration and event planning through meaningful and engaging work assignments.

This position will support TMC Foundation staff by providing a wide range of administrative, organizational, and research support, including data management, special projects management, preparing correspondence, assisting with internal and external communications and meetings, and supporting Foundation events.

This summer the TMC Foundation will be planning for three events on an annual basis which we would need administrative assistance. The events are “Hook-N-Slice Golf Tournament” in December 2023, “TMC Foundation Gala” in November 2023 and “Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon” in December 2023.

Responsibilities:
  • Work independently and within a team on special and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain an organized system of tracking, monitoring and prioritizing tasks and projects.
  • Preparing meeting materials.
  • Communication with event sponsors to obtain logos, ads for event program and rsvp names.
  • Work with printers to design and print marketing materials (event program, easel boards, check-in cards, etc.)
  • Communication with vendors for event needs.
  • Maintain database address updates and changes.
  • Mailings (save-the-date cards and invitations)

This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to learn about philanthropy, the non-profit world, community partnerships, a bird’s eye view of the TMC Healthcare system, and the event marketing industry while supporting a great cause.

Timeframe: May 16- August 10 2023
Location: TMF Foundation Office, social distancing and PPE provided.
Please apply through handshake.
