Job Shadow (virtual)- Law/Government in Washington, D.C.

The Housing and Civil Enforcement Section of the U.S. Department of Justice works to protect some of the most fundamental rights of individuals, including the right to access housing free from discrimination, the right to access credit on an equal basis, the right to patronize places of business that provide public accommodations and the right to practice one’s faith free from discrimination. Located in Washington DC, there are roughly 600 employees in the civil rights division.

The host for this opportunity is Jonathan Teitel, Investigator!  

Due to the current global pandemic, The UA Job Shadow Program will be held virtually through ONE HOUR informational interviews over Zoom. During this interview, students will have the opportunity to learn about:
  • What an average day in the Department of Justice looks like
  • About specific cases the host has worked on
  • How the host has used his degree from UA to get where he is today

Students who may benefit most from this opportunity includes any students with interest in civil rights and/or law or communications majors. Interview times are available on the following days:
  • Monday, May 18, 2020
  • Friday, May 22, 2020
