Job Shadow (virtual) - Government Relations in Washington, D.C.

The primary role of Federal Relations is to maintain the important relationship between the University of Arizona and Members of Congress, especially the Arizona delegation, and to advance the UA’s priorities in Washington, D.C.

The host for this opportunity is Jenell Biggs, Senior Director of Federal Relations 

Due to the current global pandemic, The UA Job Shadow Program will be held virtually through ONE HOUR informational interviews over Zoom. During this interview, students will have the opportunity to learn about:
  • The federal legislative process,
  • How the UA is represented in Washington, DC
  • How a federal relations office works
  • What lobbying is.

Students who may benefit most from this opportunity includes any student interested in politics-- especially at the federal level, and any student interested in working on Capitol Hill or in federal/government relations-- especially in Washington, D.C. Interview times are available on the following days:
  • Wednesday, May 20, 2020
  • Thursday, May 21, 2020
  • Friday, May 22, 2020
