Job Shadow in Architecture (Tucson, AZ)

Our Tucson based firm is known for Hospitality and Residential Design. We have designed over 70 restaurants including Playground, Hub, Penca, Proper, Diablo Burger, Abbey, Sir Vezas, An del Sol, Blanco, Wildflower, Zinburger, Sushi Garden and Downtown Kitchen to name just a few

The host for this opportunity is Sonya Sotinsky, company owner, principal architect, and UA Alum!

The specific agenda will depend on the day, but students may expect to experience:
  • Client Meetings
  • Site Meetings
  • In house design sessions
  • Exposure to roles of Junior Architect, Project Architects and Principal Architects

Students who may benefit are current first-year students in the College of Architecture Program or those seriously considering transferring into the college's professional 5 year program. Students should bring their own lunch. This shadow will be available for the following days:
  • Monday, March 9th
  • Tuesday, March 10th
  • Thursday, March 12th
  • Friday, March 13th

This career exploration/professional development opportunity is part of the University of Arizona Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP offers one-of-a-kind, low-stakes, high-value experiences for current Wildcats to gain firsthand exposure to careers, fields, and workplaces, and to interact closely with actual professionals and employers. Unless otherwise noted, JSP shadows last ONE DAY (4-8 hours) and will take place during Spring Break, March 9-13, 2020.
