Job Shadow in Family Dentistry (Tucson, AZ)
Our goal at Oracle Family Dentistry is to provide quality dental care in a fun & loving atmosphere. Not everyone loves coming to the dentist but we want them to enjoy their time with us and take pride in their smile. We're located in Oro Valley, AZ along Oracle Road. We offer a wide variety of dental services to every patient we meet from routine hygiene prophylaxis and fillings to full mouth reconstruction and dental implant surgery.
We would love to open our doors to any students interested in seeing why we think dentistry is the most amazing profession.
The host for this shadow is Maxwell Johnson, dentist and owner of the practice, and a UA Alum!
The proposed experience is for between 4-6 hours to shadow and observe Dr. Johnson as he interacts with both patients and team members. The experience will allow the student the opportunity to see what's involved in running a full-time business and keeping a growing patient base happy every day. The student will see a variety of dental procedures being completed and witness the behind-the-scenes operations of a dental business.
Students who may benefit most from this shadow are those interested in dentistry or healthcare. Students should bring their own lunch. This opportunity will be available for the following days:

- Tuesday, March 10th
- Wednesday, March 11th
- Thursday, March 12th
- Friday, March 13th
This career exploration/professional development opportunity is part of the University of Arizona Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP offers one-of-a-kind, low-stakes, high-value experiences for current Wildcats to gain firsthand exposure to careers, fields, and workplaces, and to interact closely with actual professionals and employers.
