Job Shadow in Agriculture Biotechnology (Durham, NC)

Agriculture biotechnology company focused on developing biological pesticides and traits to control major pests of worldwide agriculture.  We have partnerships with leading agricultural companies that accelerate our discovery process and allow us to deliver solutions for global markets.

The host for this opportunity is Jared Jensen, Nematology Project Lead and a UA Alum!

Students would shadow a scientist around at AgBiome to get a feel for career opportunities in a biotechnology company. See what the day-to-day job is like, interact with numerous scientists to expand their network, and learn about a globally important industry.

Students with backgrounds in Biology, Plant pathology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Plant Biology, Biochemistry, and Chemical Engineering may benefit from this shadow if they are interested in a biotechnology career. Lunch will be provided. This shadow is available for the following dates:
·        Monday, March 9
·        Tuesday, March 10
·        Wednesday, March 11
·        Thursday, March 12
·        Friday, March 13

This career exploration/professional development opportunity is part of the University of Arizona Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP offers one-of-a-kind, low-stakes, high-value experiences for current Wildcats to gain firsthand exposure to careers, fields, and workplaces, and to interact closely with actual professionals and employers. Unless otherwise noted, JSP shadows last ONE DAY (4-8 hours) and will take place during Spring Break, March 9-13, 2020.
