Job Shadow in University Administration / Higher Education (Long Beach, CA)

The CSU is the largest public four-year institution of higher education in the United States. We have 23 campuses, 480,000 students, and 53,000 faculty and staff. The Chancellor's Office is the headquarters of the system and is also committed to student success.

The host for this shadow is Lorie Parch, UA Alum and Manager for Web Content Strategy!

As this shadow is versatile, students will have the opportunity to meet with people of different departments to get a better idea of what it takes to run a university. The agenda will be based on a student's interest, major, and who is available the day of the shadow.

Students from all majors are encouraged to apply since there are various topic areas and they do not have to be interested in higher education.

The shadow is available January 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, or 14th. Lunch will be provided.

This is part of theĀ UA Job Shadow Program (JSP), a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to a career/field and be mentored by actual professionals. Unless otherwise noted, the experience is ONE DAY and will take place sometime during late Winter Break, January 2-14, 2020. This is not an employment opportunity and future employment with the organization is not associated with this program. You may apply to no more than 5 JSP opportunities, and if accepted, you must attend a JSP orientation before receiving the contact information for your host.
