Job Shadow in Fine Arts (Tucson, AZ)

MBSarts is the studio of Michael B Schwartz, an artist whose work includes public art, murals, paintings, drawings, writings, and teaching. He has worked with many local communities around Tucson and works closely with the Tucson Arts Brigade.

Michael Schwartz, an U of A Fine Arts grad, will be the host for this opportunity!

Students may get to work with the Tucson Arts Brigade, City of Tucson and a host of service agencies. Students will have the opportunity to observe social practice projects and learn more about traditional studio practice. The shadow may have building, painting, site preparation, maintenance, or work on murals and public art. Student should bring sketchbook, drink, snacks and painting clothing.

Students who may benefit from this experience are Fine Arts Students, but any major can apply. This opportunity will be available either January 7, 8, 9, 13, or 14th.

This is part of theĀ UA Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and be mentored by actual professionals. Unless otherwise noted, the experience is one day long and will take place sometime during late Winter Break, January 2-14, 2020.
