Job Shadow in Medical IT Infrastructure (Tucson, AZ)

As Tucson’s hometown radiology practice, Radiology Ltd. provides World-Class Imaging Services to improve the health of all Southern Arizonans. Our patients are greeted by Guest Services Representatives, who help them feel comfortable and answer any questions about their visit. Our Radiology Techs are knowledgeable and compassionate, always paying the utmost attention to patient comfort and safety. Our Board-Certified Physicians are sub-specialty trained and available 24/7. They provide fast, accurate reports to help determine the most effective treatment for the patient. We have 8 convenient locations, all accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) to ensure the highest level of image quality, patient care and safety.

The host for this opportunity is UA Alumni and Data Center Manager Colin Schmugge!

We have a flexible opportunity within our IT department to allow job shadowing for the areas of IT that the student is most interested in, rather than having a pre-set job shadowing experience. We do just about everything from big data analytics, software development, database and server administration, patient workflow application administration, to I.T. infrastructure: datacenters, virtualization, replication, storage, networking, telephony, cabling, desktop, and helpdesking. M-F 7a-4p available window of time, for however long the student feels is useful. Business casual dress required.

Shadows will also have to sign a patient privacy document and bring a government ID. This opportunity will be available any week day between January 2, 3, 6-10, 13, & 14th. Lunch will be provided.

This is part of the UA Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and be mentored by actual professionals. Unless otherwise noted, the experience is one day long and will take place sometime during Winter Break, January 2-14, 2020. This is not an employment opportunity and future employment with the organization is not associated with this program. You may apply to no more than 5 JSP opportunities, and if accepted, you must attend a JSP orientation before receiving the contact information for your host.
