Job Shadow in Fashion Retail (Dallas, TX)
Active wear boutique owned by Tory Burch. We have a unique collection of active and lifestyle wear focused on color, performance, vintage styles, and classic silhouettes. Tory Sport is for every woman looking to add elegance and athleticism to any part of her life.
This opportunity will be hosted by Micaiah Galpin, a UA alumni in retailing and consumer science who's favorite thing is the company culture, building a new brand, and working and developing a team.
The job shadow will be one full work day, an eight hour day with an hour break for lunch.
Potential experiences for this shadow include, but are not limited to:
- Working with a team to drive daily sales
- Shadowing associates on the sales floor and understanding what CRM is and how we use it to clientele and acquire new customers and retain existing customers
- Looking at store metrics and finances to identify opportunities and key revenue drivers
- Visual merchandising standards
- Becoming familiar with brand and product knowledge
- Learning daily operational procedures of the store.
The student who would benefit most from this would be those interested in fashion, retail, strategy, and management.
This is part of the UA Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and be mentored by actual professionals.
