Job Shadow in the Fine Arts (Tucson, AZ)

Monsoon space is a pop up Contemporary Arts Collective in downtown Tucson, made up of over 30 artists exhibiting in multiple rooms, at festivals and events. 

The Host for this experience is Michael Schwartz, a UA alumni with a Masters of Fine Arts who believes that the sky's the limit!

Please wear paint clothing for a 4-8 hour shadow.

Students will meet at Monsoon. Inside work includes preparing materials, meetings with artists.
Transfer to mural sites. (If raining interior work includes painting on furniture etc.. drawing, planning docents as needed to give tour of center.)
Return to Monsoon to clean brushes, prepare for evening events. (Live Arts)

Students who would benefit from this opportunity would be those considering jobs in the fine arts, entertainment, or community cultural development.

This is part of the UA Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and be mentored by actual professionals. Unless otherwise noted, the experience is one day long and will take place sometime during Spring Break, March 4 - 8th.
