Design Your [Internship]

About the position
Do you want to make an impact and build professional skills at the same time? Here’s your chance. This is not your typical internship. In this position, you can make a real impact while working on real projects with campus and community partners. So, do you have a willingness to learn and a passion for sharing your skills to make your campus better? We would love to have you on the team. Participants will…
  • Gain experience addressing complex problems using design thinking, lean startup, systems thinking and other creative problem solving strategies
  • Receive leadership coaching based on personally identified goals
  • Differentiate themselves in a hyper-competitive job market
  • Build their network both on & off campus
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team on real-world projects that make an impact on campus
  • Co-design and facilitate learning and data collection experiences to engage other students
  • Reflect at key milestones to integrate learning and improve project outcomes
  • Collect and synthesize stories, qualitative, and quantitative data
  • Provide informed recommendations to project partners
  • Create a portfolio of work to demonstrate ability to future employers

Required Availability
In order to successfully work together, we are looking for folks who are available to meet and work in the Spring on Fridays from 9am-1pm. If you're not available then, there might still be opportunities to support the team, so we encourage you to reach out with your interest.

On-boarding Timeline
If we see potential to work together in your application materials, you'll receive an email to set up an initial phone interview. During the phone interview we will determine if it's a good fit for you and for us. The final step: you'll get invited to a group interview on Friday January 11 from 10:30 am-1pm.

*Note: There may be opportunities to continue this internship beyond Spring 2019.
