Job Shadow in On-Air Broadcasting/Talent in San Francisco, CA

This job shadow opportunity is only available on March 5, 2018, and is located in San Francisco, CA.  The shadow experience will be from 11am to 6pm at Pac-12 Networks Headquarters in Downtown San Francisco.

  • The day will start with a tour of the 2 floors of Pac-12 Networks. They will see the offices, editorial, digital, the sound stages, and the rooftop looking over downtown San Francisco.
  • We'll go over day-to-day responsibilities for working in the Talent & Development department and what's involved managing On-Air Talent.
  • There will be a few 15 minute rotations for professional conversations with other departments. This may include other U of A alumni!
  • Lunch with potentially On-Air talent/U of A alumni.
  • Meet with a Producer who walks you through what they do and how they work and coach On-Air Talent.
  • Analyze reels and show what Pac-12 looks for in On-Air talent.
  • Meet Pac-12's Host and 2 Basketball Analysts. Watch and learn how they prep for their studio show.
  • The last hour we will watch the live studio show on set and in the control room.

This opportunity is great for a student that wants to pursue being in front or behind the camera, work in the sports industry, or produce live television.

This is part of the UA Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and be mentored by actual professionals.
