Job Shadow in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health/Public Health in Green Valley, AZ

This shadow opportunity is available on March 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th, 2018, and is located at the Sierrita Mine in Green Valley, Arizona.  Experience a day in the life of an Industrial Hygienist at our Sierrita Mine in Green Valley, AZ – just 40 minutes south of Tucson. Throughout the day, you will assist in the field with sampling, walk through the plant and site to gather safety concerns from employees, monitor medical exams, and more.

Guidelines: Expect heavy walking around the plant. You will be required to watch a safety video at the site entrance gate. You must remain with your escort at all times during your visit.

Dress Code: Long sleeved shirt, jeans, and heavy-duty closed toed shoes (preferably, steel-toed boots, hiking boots would be acceptable)

This is part of the UA Job Shadow Program (JSP). The JSP is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and be mentored by actual professionals.
