Job Shadow in Accounting in Green Valley, AZ

This job shadow opportunity is only available on March 8th or March 9th, 2018.  The opportunity will begin at 8:00am and go until 2:00pm and is located at the Sierrita Mine in Green Valley, Arizona.  Experience a day in the life of an accountant at an operating copper mine 40 minutes south of Tucson. The work of an accountant at a mine site is exciting and full of unique experiences that you won’t find in public accounting. During the day you will get to spend time working with the accounting team that supports the mine and mill, as well as shadow the capital accountant.
8:00 a.m.: Arrive at Site
8:00-8:20 a.m.: Safety Video
8:30-9:00 a.m.: Meet with Controller
9:15-9:30 a.m.: Meet Accounting Staff
9:30-11:00 a.m.: Shadow Mill Accountant
11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Lunch
12:00-1:00 p.m.: Shadow Mine Accountant
1:00-1:30 p.m.: Shadow Capital Accountant
1:30-2:00 p.m.: Wrap Up and meet with Accounting Manager
2:00 p.m. – Depart Site

Dress Code: Long pants, closed toed shoes (steel-toed boots preferred), shirt that covers the shoulder. The site will provide hardhats, safety glasses, and hearing protection if necessary.
