Prepare to be really tired after 8 hour shifts. Also make sure to prioritize keeping cart corrals inside the store full, even if people are requesting help elsewhere (salvage, garbage removal, etc).

June 2018 • Schaumburg, IL
What I liked
I liked that I got to work with a team of helpful people and that I got to see a lot of my neighbors as guests.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had gotten more hours. My plan was to work a lot this summer but unfortunately I only worked 12-16 hours per week.
Advice
I would say that you do need some patience as some of the guests (in any type of retail or customer service job) can get a little out of hand. But overall, if you keep calm and have a great attitude the guests will mirror that.
