What I liked

BHSG has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and step into a role where I can meet my full potential as a young professional. I knew nothing about careers in staffing before coming across Beacon Hill at a Panhellenic event before the Syracuse University Fall 2018 Career Fair, but I couldn't be happier that I decided to take the plunge. My interview process was very pleasant and I met so many driven, like-minded people who I now get to call my co-workers. The fast-paced day to day provides an engaging and motivating environment where I can see myself growing in my career!

What I liked

From the beginning the entire interview process with Beacon Hill was amazing. I applied to the position through Handshake and met with Ashley Pfeiffenberger at my college's career far! And she was amazing throughout my entire interview process. I came into the office for an onsite interview, the staff was extremely welcoming and inclusive! Everyone I come in contact with was extremely friendly and made me fell super comfortable! I've been working here since June for the Pharmaceutical division and I love it! Its been a great transition from starting a new job right out of college. I think so far I've been learning extremely valuable professional skills and really learning something new every day! Can't wait to see what the future holds with BH :)

What I wish was different

Nothing negative that I can think of!

Advice

What I liked

When I went through the job search my senior year, I felt that a lot of companies were inconsistent with communication or keeping you in the loop. Ashley was super transparent with each step of the process and made sure that I was prepared with each interview going into it and knowing what to expect. I felt from the beginning that Beacon Hill treated you like a person, rather than just a number or a resume.

What I wish was different

Overall the process was so smooth that I wouldn't change anything

What I liked

I loved that from the beginning of being involved with Beacon Hill, whether it was asking questions at the career fair, to meeting the employees at an event, to the internal interview sessions, I felt welcomed. Every person I had met with was respectful and so kind. When I first started at Beacon Hill, everyone welcomed me. From my first call, to my first submittal, to finally making it over 1K in spread, they celebrated every moment and made me feel a part of the team. I would highly recommend working here if you are motivated by people and healthy competition.

What I liked

From the beginning, working with (and now for) Beacon Hill Staffing Group has been the best experience. I first found the position on Handshake as a student at the University of Arizona. The interview process was amazing- I felt so comfortable and felt like the people I talked to really cared about me and my future goals. I was first in contact with Haley Chapman and she guided me through every step of the thorough interview process. Haley is so personable, responsive and helpful. She took into consideration where I wanted to relocate after college got me in contact with my current Director, Keilly who is an absolute superstar! I appreciated the time that Beacon Hill invested in me before they hired me because it showed me that they are committed to my development as a young professional. I am so happy with my decision to work for Beacon Hill and have learned so much in such a short time of working here.

What I liked

As soon as I met Beacon Hill at my universities career fair, I knew I wanted to work there. That being my first career fair, I was quite nervous and apprehensive to talk to companies. At the Beacon Hill booth, I spoke with Austin March and Bryan Verduzco. They instantly made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to ask any questions that I may have. I did not know what a staffing company really did, but it was the people who sold me on the job. I am wrapping up my first month here at BHSG and I can't wait to see where this company takes me!!

What I wish was different

Nothing! Haley Chapman was my recruiter through the entire process and she is SO sweet and supportive. Thanks for getting me this job Haley!!!

What I liked

First off, Beacon Hill had the best interview experience I've ever had. Haley Chapman was the absolute sweetest, and also communicated everything and more about the position, what to expect at the interview, what questions to ask, how to dress - literally everything you would want to know about a company and about an interview. This company is so amazing, and trains you to be the best. If you want to be successful and make great money, as well as learn things that will help you grow as a person and in your career then you should absolutely work here. There is not one thing I can think of that I don't love about this company. So far I've only experienced love and support from the company!

What I wish was different

Nothing, absolutely adore the company.

Advice

After a month into my new career as an Associate Consultant for Beacon Hill Staffing Group in NYC, I can confidently say that I made the right choice in finding an amazing company to work for! I first came into contact with Beacon Hill Staffing Group on Handshake through their messaging platform. I found it to be a great tool that allows recruiters to reach out about exciting opportunities. Ultimately, it connected me with Jaci Pulice who reached out and gave me information about BHSG’s presence at the upcoming career fair. As a communications major with a psychology background, recruiting seemed like the right direction to move toward for me. From there, I was able to connect with Jaci and her colleagues to find out more about a career in staffing! I feel like Handshake allowed me an upper hand in beginning my career and finding a great company culture in Beacon Hill Staffing Group.
